LaTonya McRae is the Visionary and Founder of Tree of Life Ministries, Inc.  She is an apostolic leader who serves as a pastor, teacher, missionary, and counselor at Faith Tabernacle in Freehold, New Jersey, alongside her husband Pastor Stephen McRae. She began serving roughly 30 years ago under the tutelage of the late Elder James F. McRae, under whose auspices Tree of Life Ministries originated in 2004.

LaTonya McRae earned a doctorate degree in Theology at United Christian College, New York, in May of 2005. Her focuses are humanities and mental health.  She is a certified Christian Counselor and a member of the National Christian Counseling Association.

Dr. McRae served on the Executive Board of Court Street School in Freehold, New Jersey and other international and non-profit boards in the religious sector.  She teaches classes and counsels both online and in person, and has many years of experience in crisis, missions, and ministry.  Her passion is to see people’s lives transformed in the spiritual, mental, and practical areas of life. In doing so, she mentors people of all ages, backgrounds, and nationalities.

Dr. McRae is the visionary of many successful large-scale endeavors – community development, drilling water wells, building edifices, conferences, crisis and relief efforts, training and commissioning ministers, and more.  She oversees local and foreign operations with initiatives that include health, education, and evangelical efforts to impact the world in a positive way.

Stephen McRae is a founding constituent of Tree of Life Ministries and is the senior pastor at Faith Tabernacle in Freehold, New Jersey.  He served in ministry for decades prior to becoming an ordained elder in pastoral leadership, having been a Deacon, Trustee, Musician and BCS Superintendent, and more over the years.

Pastor Steve was born and raised in Freehold and kept under close tutelage by his parents, the late Elder James McRae (Bishop), First Lady Yvonne McRae, and his grandparents, the late Deacon Arthur Goode and Rev. Sally Ann Goode who were the founders of Faith Tabernacle.  He is affectionately referred to as "Pastor Steve" by the congregation and friends.

Pastor Steve is an advocate for mission efforts both locally and overseas and remains active working in the background. He studied at Monmouth Bible Institute in Farmingdale, New Jersey and United Christian College, Roselle, New Jersey Extension.  Pastor Steve's ministry efforts continue to encourage, equip, and edify the Body of Christ in all areas.
